CF Seat Posts

HPV installment 8.... Did you look at using CF seat posts from push bikes for your CFtubing?

No we didn’t, but having now done so, the price is way out of our reach.

Safety Campaign

In regards to your latest driving emotion on driving to the conditions. Driving Emotion Hear hear! - about time someone in the media had a clue about this, now if only Harold Scruby (and others like him) would also take note and realise that not driving to the conditions would be THE biggest factor in most accidents. for exaple: An accident caused by "speeding" where conditions are bad (or whatever), is attributed to just the speed, not the driver and their lack of experience/training (or just being a fool).

Immobiliser

I am interested in the DIY immobilizer you have published. Only one problem, I cannot understand your wiring diagram for the DPDT. The std relay is no problem. I have a DPDT with 8 terminals, two for coil, two NO, two NC and two COM. Can you please tell me which one is which on your diagram.

If you cannot understand the circuit, it’s probably not a good idea to try building it. We have covered relays in detail in lots of articles – do a site search to find them.

This is among the last Responses we will be running. Times have changed and a weekly published ‘letters to the editor’ is anachronistic in a current web world.

In the first of many far-reaching changes, the Driving Emotion column will be replaced by a blog where readers can comment almost immediately. (Most emails we receive are about Driving Emotion topics.)

Response itself will be later replaced by the facility for readers to comment directly on articles. Readers will still be able to email editorial staff but in general those emails will not be published.

We will cover these changes in more detail in an upcoming article.
